Hi all,
Just after some advice please.
Driving yesterday down windy country roads and there was lots of ‘muck’ on the road. Drove through it and very soon after the ACE amber light came on then was continuous red. Drove home carefully (about 2miles). Turned it on about 2 hours later and no issues. No ACE lights on at all now and drives well.
Any ideas?

Many thanks

If it’s low it’s probably gone somewhere. Get checking for leaks. A dry pump is a soon to be broken pump.

Don't know how far you've got to go to get it to the LR specialists, but if it is that low, I'd put some more fluid in to keep the system as safe as poss while driving it there.
I had mine doing the same thing, turned out to be a pinhole, invisible to the naked eye, in part of the metal part of the pipe from the reservoir to the pump. As it was in the low pressure part I was able to remove the part with the pinhole and simply clamp flexible tubing over it. Has worked fine ever since. I also got under the wheel arches on both sides and removed the access hatches there so I could go over all the pipes etc that are under there, putting slit garden hose and tiewraps over parts that were in danger of wearing. It was quite an education, also various clips that had not been used properly by previous mechanics/owners, needed clipping back properly. Worth doing even if the fault turns out to be elsewhere.
