hi guys,
no problems for a few weeks so i suppose something was due.

went for a short drive and when i arrived home the amber ace light was on. turned ignition off then back on, light was gone. levels ok.

a little later went up the the road. pulled away from lghts and noticed the traction control light on, went off pretty quick. odd because of dry road conditions (spring here).

drove for about 30 miles and no more lights.

i had noticed a whirring noise previously ( dont know if im imagining it) you know the sort you can hear when driving next to a fence or wall. reflecting the sound. do you think these things could be connected?

cheers

The ACE and the TC have only one common point: road speed signals from ABS sensors... but a faulty one must have trigerred the 3 amigos. The TC could kick in even on dry road based on multiple conditions, happened to me often. The ACE intermittent warning could be due to a bad electric contact in the fusebox, a mucky filter or a tired pressure transducer ...these are the most common but there are plenty of other possibilityes... the best thing is to read the fault codes stored before u do something.
About that sound without hearing it with my own ears i cant tell u anything.

IMO drive it without fear untill u can plug it in a tester to see more clear.

cheers sierra,

i have been driving it around without fear (lol) for a couple of days. booted it around a couple of roundabouts, it didnt fall over and no lights.

so i think i will follow your advice and leave it alone.

I've got a similar issue, will check servicable items first and let you know how I get on.
