I have a 2004 Discovery TD5. I noticed a leak near to the front ACE actuator - at first I thought it was the actuator itself but on closer inspection I think it is the ACE pipes to the actuator. It is difficult to diagnose of course because it is not under pressure in the static condition (even with the engine running). I have read a few other threads and leaking pipes sounds like a main stealer job and a bit expensive. Anyone had anything like this before? What was the outcome?

Did you get your ACE pipe problem sorted? The rear pipes have gone on my V-reg and I'm toying with attempting a diy fix because our local main stealer is has taken too much cash from me over the years.
Undoing and removing the old pipes and fitting a new pair can't be that hard - can it?????

Yes I did manage to sort mine. All I needed to do was a little nip to tighten the pipe union; I got away with it without replacing the pipe. I think this is one of those jobs that is not DIY. I'm pretty sure you cannot successfully bleed the system without clagging it into a computer. Sorry it's not good news.

As an aside for other readers who may have suspect leaks from their O/S front ACE, it's worth checking your bottle jack for leaks (it has been known).
