It seems I've become the owner of a circa 1983-4 ex-military Series 3 109" General Service LHD ragtop. I wasn't looking for a Land Rover, or any other project vehicle, but it was too cheap and too original not to buy it. It needs a rear crossmember, a cuple of outriggers, footwell repairs, A post bottom repair on R Hand side, brakes sorting and probably a myriad other jobs. It has been dry stored in a garage for a couple of years. The petrol engine is free but hasn't been run since putting it away. Plan A is to get it running and stopping, then do the structural bits, keeping it as close to original as possible, without being too OCD about it. I'll get a couple of pictures later today.
