It looks like the previous owner to my RR has done something to the wiring that means the AC fans are on all the time. My guess is for towing?
I have removed fuse 36 and 31 to turn off fans. Have also tried removing relays 13 and 14 which also stops the fans. No overheating experienced so not done for that reason.
Perhaps this is a common mod ?
My guess is that the dual pressure switch which controls high and low AC fan speeds has been bypassed. Ref AC page 20 @21 in manual for the basis of this assumption
Trouble is I cannot see were the dual pressure switch is under the bonnet?
Any guidance would be appreciated.

some people use the ac fans in stead of the viscous fan because you can swtich it off when not needed giving the engine a touch more power cos its not constanly running a fan.Not convinced meself

The easiest way to see the pressure switch that controls the fans is to get onto the ground and slide underneath the front LH (passenger) side of the vehicle. Directly behind the bumper you should see something that resembles a can of drink with pipes going into the top. On the pipes you will see the pressure switches, one will have just 2 wires coming out of the plug. Check this switch hasnt been unplugged and shorted toghether as this turns the fans on. If its still plugged in you will need to trace the wiring back to see where the circuit has been shorted together.

Do you have a copy of RAVE as this would really help you out in a situation like this...
