Hi folks

got 2002 TD4 Automatic .. with abs and traction control + hill decent lights on !
I have taken it to landy specialists who tell me it is a wheel race sensor ..
nearside rear that is faulty.They quoted me £240.00 inc Vat for the part.....My question is .. Does anyone know of an alternative cheaper supplier ?

fitting not the problem! need to buy cheaper or would like to pay less than the £240.00 quoted any ideas where from?

£240 to supply? That seems way to expensive :eek:
I wouldn't know where you could buy them from. I bet they're only available at LR :(
 
Any company with a Border Holdings,(Britpart) account can supply them - how much cheaper is down to how greedy they are.It is a genuine Wabco part - not cheap sh--e.
 
got yer drift, but is there a web site that you guys use or can reccomend ?
not looking for a cheap part looking for a better price .I know it has to be genuine part . I am in mid Wales so there aint much choice . I know I here what your thinkin!(Wales) but someones got to live here!

Just an update

Found a used part ( wheel speed sensor)from an online breakers based in cambridge. £60.00 including postage,part came of a 2004 TD4 and looked new!
20 minutes to fit and the warning lights went off after driving a few yards.

I love it when a plan comes tgether. Didn't Hannibal Smith of the A Team say that?
Glad to hear you managed to fix it and save a few quid. Online car brakers, what will they think of next :D
