what the heck is going on when you get told 1 abs sensor will cost you £144.00 from a land rover repair shop and two motor factors quote near £300.00 for 1 sensor yet scan the net they can be found for £13.00 upwards typical rip off Britain :mad2::mad2::mad2:
 
thanks for the replies its good to know we don't have to pay stupid prices as its dear enough keeping a car on the road with insurance tax and mot and fuel costs ps I love the freelander I did not think I would like it but I do :):):):D
 
I buy most (95%) of my parts hear days off eBay. Including oil from gsf eBay store. Most of the stuff is the same as you would get at a factors but you are cutting out the middle men so saving a fortune. My head set, bolts cam belt kit, water pump. Window repair kitty and, full exhaust system have come from eBay with no bad results yet. I will post up in the future if they fail earlier than expected.
 
well I got two abs sensors off ebay and I changed the faulty nsf for £14.97 for 1 free postage rather than the other highly inflated prices I was quoted :mad: now its all working as it should :):):)
