, would an 88 be better for you, any thoughts of buying one with LR engine in it, such as the 2286 petrol / diesel , or the 200tdi from the discovery 1 , I’ve used that engine without the turbo or inter cooler makes a simple fit as described herejust wanted to keep it as an original however do you believe it will be beneficial to leave it?
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. You’ll be spending half of your life keeping it in the road as it is.
If it works OK I would leave it. You could then keep an eye out for a different engine as you go along.
Depends on price, condition and how much you want to spend on it. And if you are planning on doing the work yourself.
