Anti-social to run people down with the on ( without them is fine ). Only necessary if you're a country-bumpkin, unless you really like the look of them. Lamps can be fitted to the bumper, but that's not the point really!

Livestock when you are coming behind them, cattle can mess up bodywork

Quite useful for tying cattle or horses to at shows.

Personally, I'm sticking to my plough theory.
I wouldn't let that much salt anywhere near my old girl! She'd disintegrate before my eyes!
