Moaning matt here again ;)

After getting a whole weeks of use out of my "new" IIa it has suffered total
brake failure, leaking fuel tank, clutch master cylinder.

I have fitted a new clutch master cylinder, new brake lines throughout and
tonite thought I would bleed the system. Right start with the clutch...
MMmm where is the slave..oh crap under there..ok wheres the bleed nipple.
...Mmm pipe feeding the top and underneath that a hole...no nipple, no threads showing just a little hole....

Reading the HAYNES* it seems that it should feed from the bottom
and the top should have some kind of bleed pipe, but it also says I should be able to remove the right hand side floor and see it, 30 mins with an
angle grinder removing the floor bolts and NOTHING still can't get at it.

I'm guessing I need a new slave cylinder now? Does the bleed pipe described in the HAYNES* come with it?

bugger thought I might be able to use it sometime soon as well, landy
ownership is grinding me down...Any advice anyone???

ADVthanksANCE

Hi Matt

In my 2a SWB you can see the clutch slave cylinder and bleed tit through a removable 2 inch bung in the right hand side of the Gearbox tunnel (next to your left foot).
The tit is on top of the slave cylinder next to the IP pipe.

Think your self lucky you got a weeks use out of it, I only just managed to get mine home from buying it.
Cost me two cooked drums / shoes / cylinders and a great deal of hassle.

Regards
Clivees

Thanks! wondered what that bung was for! Pottered along to
Landyparts near me and got a slave for 11.75 inc so
that wasn't to bad, just annoyed at the lost time!

All this sunshine I want to be driving in me landy with the tilt down
not sweating me knackers off in leathers on the bike!
