For my sins.....Essex
Ok, just about to lose it big time!
Have spent the last god knows how long on the internet (literally weeks), trawling through various, obscure websites looking for places to go to this week in search of a fairly cheap but straight and honest defender 90. Think I can find anywhere?
Wouldn't mind going to somewhere that had just the one or two if it were just around the corner. But to drive to the other end of the country, on a whim?, not only does it take up valuable time, but it costs a fortune in fuel. And when I get there, guess what?..... yes .......its ****!! WHERE DO ALL OF YOU OUT THERE BUY YOUR VEHICLES FROM...... PLEASE? I would be very grateful for a barrage of suggestions as I am almost at the point of giving up on years of wanting to own one of my own. Common sense has almost convinced me out of something that I know will make me very happy. oh god!!!!!!!! :(

Sorry, I can not help you for defender.

By luck, I find last week one SIII, gas, EX military wehicle (NOT WORKONG CONDITION) but do not need big work to be back on service.

But "In SERBIA" I think is to far for you. As I can see moustly older wehicle's are buy'ed in Scotland north....

Check add's in lokal papers...

pure luck and being in the right place at the right time (and they are all **** if we were al honest pmsl ) try land rover owner international good luck

LRM magazine usually has a few bargains to be had, and a good buyers guide on what to look out for. I started by doing weekly searches on AutoTrader within 50 miles of home and 50 miles of our Derby office.

Found a minter just before Christmas in Derby, but was a bit over priced. Following evening in the pub, someone comes in and says I need to sell my Landy quick to help fund a divorce. £3750 cash - V8 90, brand new chassis, 2" lift kit, recently rebuilt engine including new heads and ECU.

Spent best part of 6 months on the Autotrader website before I found mine! Visited several Landy specialists (Liveridge's in Solihull (?) being by far the best) but couldn't find any CSWs with low mileage in my price range. It's a good idea to keep an eye on garages that sell more 'modern' 4x4's as if they take a Defender in part-ex they're usually keen to move it on. Mine was taken as part-ex against a Nissan Navara and stood out like a sore thumb on the forecourt next to all those Japanese double cabs! Keep looking, something will turn up.
