Hi All.

My drivers side electric window has decided to stop working, along with my rear wiper.
Both motors have power, and you can hear them click as you press the switches, but they don't run. Both were working completely fine earlier this week.
I intend on replacing both motors, but have an issue with the front window mechanism. The window is closed, and to remove the mechanism, as far as I can tell on my searches on the net, the window needs to be down to unbolt the mechanism from the window itself.

So, my question please, is can the mechanism be removed from the window with it in the closed position, or is there a way to get the window down without the motor working?

Thanks.

Nev.

As soon as you unbolt the window motor from the door it will drop into the bottom of the door, the glass will slide down enabling you to detach the regulator and then disconnect the motor from the regulator. Simples, but watch out for the sharp edges on the drive wheel and regulator.

Just a quick update. Managed to repair both mechanisms on the window and rear wiper. Motors were fine, mechanisms just needed cleaning and greasing and they were both working fine once more. Cost £0. Result.
