Hi All,
My 06 FL1 doesn’t do many miles, mainly being used for tip runs (16 miles round trip), shops ( 8 round trip), I’ve done about 900 since last October. I know it’s going to need a good run for all the usual reasons. What kind of mileage do you think I’d need to do. When I was working I did about 160 miles a day Monday to Friday, but now I’m retired well I’ve not the need for long trips, and I’ve a Jaguar XK8 for them. That’s not to say the FL is neglected be it isn’t. It’s proved it’s worth with the recent weather!
Cheers,
Michael.

Get a local car thief to take it on the motorway and let the police record the milage and speed. This way you can be assured the car been well used.:D

If the battery is charged with a charger overnight occasionally, then that's all it needs, other than a good thrash before the MOT to clear out any soot from the exhaust, and don't put more fuel in it than you'll use in 3 months.
It doesn't have the complexity of a DPF, so it doesn't need any special treatment.

;)

Thanks Nodge. I’m starting to like these ‘older, simpler’ motors more and more. Good nugget of information regarding the DPF or lack thereof.
Cheers,
M.
