a frame ball joint

Tried the search.
My problem is i cant get the fulcrum unit off the axle.Got the 2 bolts to the arms off and the castle nut but the unit will not come out of the axle bracket Tried what i can think off big hammer, heat etc even jacked the axle up using the head of the bolt only.Any other suggestions would be welcome.

I had the same problem and got someone to put the joint under tension (upwards) whilst I hit the outside of the ball joint socket on the axle very hard with a hammer. The joint popped out within a couple of minutes.
