A few things (Windows/dash/stickers)

Hi Guys,

After my first Disco decided to die, I ventured into breaking her up for spares, while on the hunt for another.....

I found an ES on eBay local for £1200 with full test and 6 months tax...woooo....and no rot on the chassis! :clap2:

She has a few ...charachteristics about her...that need sorting out.

Ive never had leather before, and her interiors a bit tired despite only having done 112,000 (my other has done 139k, but feels like it pulls better than the ES???) any tips on getting it to look a little better?

Also, I think the fuse has gone for the back windows, but i cant find 'Satellite 2' fuse board..ive tried switches in it i know that work and the door switches wont operate them either so it must be the fuse as the front ones work.

Also, the decal on the front is a bit...spent for want of a better word, and the ones ive seen on ebay dont look right to me...any ideas?

Also, none of the interior dash/switch lights seem to work....no dash light, no lights on the window switches....

It has the twin sunroof configuration, but the front sunroof will only operate if you help it up while pressing the switch. Is this something common as ive only heard of them leaking.

Bit of a lengthy one but hope you can help, as I want to try and get her in a bit more of a tidier state as shes been neglected for a little while

Sat2 is part of the passenger fuse board, and search the forum for non function rear windows and the ECU repair.

Is the dashboard dimmer turned down - roller switch to the left of the steering column.

LR call it SWITCH-THUMBWHEEL ILLUMINATION CONTROL
I don't have one either, its shown in the parts book. You will see a small oblong indent in the dash below the volume control where it would be if u had one.

The bonnet decals off fleabay don't look too bad when they are on. I put some on mine today.

Not bad for less than a tenner. Right pain in the arse getting the old ones off, though.

And the interior lights...nothing works light wise....its so god damn dark at night in there its unreal. I dont have the roller switch to dim them...I have also noticed that the red light around the ignition is permanently on also.....im baffled

have you checked the bulbs in the dash? id pull it off anyway and check all the earths you can. think theres another earth under the windscreen wen you open the bonnet (right where rain water goes..

with the sunroofs, both mine need help to open initially. ive just lived with it really.
