Rubbish I was in Winchester Cathedral tuther week and there is a plaque there say that when the roof was replaced in the 19th century they used 195tons of lead.. & I didn't think "fook I want that lead" :(

































It was "Fook I need a bigger van" :D
 
On the subject of copper piping; a friend was woken the other night by banging etc. the ****ers were only nicking the gas copper pipes, never thought anyone would be that daft?

Covers up the number plate on the disco but not the rover 75 lol fair enough. You couldn't give away a rover 75. Do any companies makes spare for rovers anymore?

Actually, having owned an MPi, I can honestly say that a lack of power had never been an issue they always run oun out of grip before they run out of power or torque. In fact, due to their lower weight and far better throttle response, I found it a better off road drive than the Tdi. It does require a different driving style, but I never found it any less able than the Tdi, usually the opposite was true. After all the series engines have far less power and torque to weight than any of the discoverys or defenders, and they are very capable, it is all in how you drive them.

Is it just me that's never seen an mpi? What is it?
 
No personal experience of the MPI Disco, but from what I've heard and read about them they're not that bad. More powerful than a 200/300TDI at 130 bhp, 190 ft lb of torque and not bad economy, cheaper than an equivalent diesel, just don't take it near water.
