A bit stuck

I won't go near a kinetic rope.

The idea is that the rope stores the energy from the recovery vehicle by stretching and then recoiling, so that say a 2 tonne disco accelerates away from the stuck vehicle at say 10 mph, it stretches the rope, recovery vehicle stops and the energy stored in the rope works on the stuck vehicle.

The loadings can be enormous to the point that bits get pulled off the vehicle, so you might have a tow hook and shackle flying through the air at ridiculous speed. Search youtube for scary videos about kinetic rope recovery.

To use a kinetic rope both vehicles need to be in great shape with proper recovery points, if they haven't steer clear.

If a tow doesn't work, a winch is a better bet.

SOOOO wot I sed then??? :p

Looks like the lane has been driven by Recip Trail tyres, they don't come in very big sizes, so he's probably not that stuck, caught on the diffs probably, through lack of momentum.

Only just noticed this and the website is down now to go for a look for him.

Ive had a beer but the missus could drive up there with me. Ive driven alot of the lanes in leicestershire and i dont recognise that one. I wonder if its even a byway and not a bridleway!

So I've been down to it with a jack and not enough planks of wood, got plank and some brick under the back tyres, when I lifted the back up, it is pretty bedded into the mud so just kinda sitting with all the mud under the middle. I'll probably be down again tomorrow in the morning or day, its about 4 miles from leamington spa

That's very very close to me , but I'd be way too much of a scaredy cat to drive down there by myself , end up me being stuck and very very lost more importantly ,could poddle down with me wellies and a cup of tea instead though

Failing that I could get up to you about 6pm but tis aways away so you'd have to let me take the **** outta you forever as payment

I was nervous driving through some of the puddles on Salisbury and needed Pikey to show me how to work the low range and diff lock -

think he's in deep **** if I'm the only rescue option :(

Sometimes a cuppa and a friendly smile is worth more than half a dozen winches..............I concede this may not be one of them

really sorry I can't help but honestly you really wouldn't want me to

If there's anything else though I can do that doesn't involve, mud, rescue, getting lost or anything along those lines just let me know - only about 10 mins away from where you're stuck ( then add on another hour whilst I try to find it )
