Now call me a coward if you want but I have recently bought a 2004 vogue and had a few wee teething problems, my wife wanted to open the sunroof yesterday but I told her not to just yet until I ask on here first. It does not leak at the present time but are they prone to leaking if you use them or should it be ok. Also is it a good idea to try the Lo range and HDC switches or am i likely to find myself stuck in it, it is going in to get a new radiator so i can get them to check it out if they known to stick on. Many thanks

By that reckoning best you don't touch anything and ask a mechanic/autoelectrician to try everything because you're too scared to  Are you sure you even want to risk driving it, now or in the future, as something might fail.
As @kevstar said, you should have tried them before buying.

It's a long story about trying everything but it was bought on trust shall we say without saying too much as this is a small island. I think I will take your advice Kevstar as Gold Rover sounds very negative to me.:p Joking aside the car may be new to me but land rovers are not and I have had my fair share of I wish I had not done that moments with them over the years. It's not that I am afraid to try it it was to ask if they are known to cause problems if not used.

Sunroof should be no problem. the mouldand moss that grows on the seal should provide a good watertight fit !

For transfer case air suspension etc.

Try it on the driveway or on your block. If air bag goes pop or the transfer gets stuck.. you're not that far from home, tea and a laptop with LZ access.

I make it a rule to exercise the 4wd transfer diff lock regularly.

My CSK hadn't been and the PO snapped the sodding gearbox bracket using brute force rather than penetrant spray to free it up.

Not negative, just honest. Some people don't like honesty, even after they ask for it.:p

Ah it'll be all right sunroof is nice in the RR.

The P38's sunroof is perfectly placed IMO..

Not too sure about the L322 :D drain's do block which can cause water ingress :D

Thanks, it's not leaking at the present time so hopefully it will be ok.
If it makes you feel better I've had mine 9yrs, I use the sunroof every given opportunity, as of yet it has yet to leak.
The L322 can bring heartache and an empty wallet but until yours does, just enjoy it and stop pre-empting issues. I can guarantee you, whilst you are looking for a problem that doesn't exist, a much bigger one will bite you from behind.
Did I say , just enjoy it and stop worrying, until you have to.

P.s Did I say 'just enjoy'.

Thanks Gold rover, I do enjoy it and not wanting to turn this in to a slanging session I just wanted to know what the chances were of these items causing me problems if they had not been used. I fully understand these vehicles can be expensive to keep on the road as I own another vehicle that makes range rover prices seem very reasonable. I do prefer sunroofs to air con and glad to hear it's probably going to be ok but I would rather ask beforehand rather than after the event and be told " you should have asked here first before doing that"

It's a HSV Monaro 6.0ltr V8 it really is a beautiful car but my God the spares prices are high and you have to get the majority of them from Australia since Monkfish Performance stopped trading.

one of my other cars is a Cayenne 4.5S... the passenger mirror took a slap and the glass fell out. the casing not damaged just the glass popped, hit the floor and broke. I called up my local Porsche garage, who know me well, the parts manager says he will call me back with a price.

he calls back and asks if I am sitting down.
yes says I.
£760 plus vat he says
I only want the glass, says I, not the whole mirror assembly
that is just the glass says he.

£20.00 later on ebay…..
