Takes a bit of practice in an Auto
WTF are Brakes
Normal road driving, auto has naff all engine braking, but under 30mph you can persuade it to slow. Low box, no problem at all.
So Brakes are what you need if you're daft enough to drive on tarmac

We could have a proper thread about the pros and cons of autos off road - but I don't think LandyZone is capable of a proper discussion
It been done, in other forums for five pages and the result, is it's all down to personal pref.
With modern Landrovers other than the Defender I believe you can now choose.
