Volvo 164E (1972)
Gurgel X12
MGB
MGB GT
Mitsubishi Minica x 2
Chrysler K car
Ford Escort GT
Ford Escort wagon
Toyota Carolla 1.6SR (1985)
Chevrolet Monte Carlo
VW Beetle (mexican garbage)
VW Thing (German) and one for spares.
Mitsubishi L-300
Ford F250 pickup
Mitsubishi Pajero
Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution
Morgan (never on the road)
Jeep CJ5 (1973)
Suzuki SJ413
Toyota Tercel
Honda Civic
Mercedes 300D x 2
Nissan 240SX
Toyota Celica
Nissan Sunny
Ford EcoSport Diesel
Hyundai Terracan Diesel
Hyundai Galloper Diesel
Mitsubishi flat bed L-300 ( I think)

and others that I cannot remember.

The Defender 90 is by far the most fun vehicle that I have ever owned.

:p

Red - out of interest what does a man who knows about cars drive?!

My first car was a 1973 Morris Marina in Beige - now that was UTTER cr4p.
Then:
86 mk2 Golf Gti
98 Saxo VTR (bought new - doh!)
93 Passat estate (hideous "filler" car)
97 mk3 Gti 16v
2003 mk4 R32 Golf (bought two months old)
2005 Astra 1.9CDTi 150 estate (new)
2006 BMW 335d Touring (still have it)
2005 Suzuki Jimny softtop (about to be p/xd for the Defender)
Soon to arrive if the dealer bucks up his ideas:
2007 110 Defender XS

I know a lot of about cars but doesn't mean I can afford all the ones I know are good!

The man was just making a point that he likes his 90. Although pehaps indeed some of the things he was comparing it to don't do it much justice.

There are a couple of nice ones on there, the MGs, and the Merc 300Ds are very good cars. But you're right, you've definitley climaxed now with the 90 :D:eek:;)

I know a lot of about cars but doesn't mean I can afford all the ones I know are good!

86 mk2 Golf Gti Good I had a B reg GTi one of the earliest of the mark 2's with factory fitted zender bodykit & 15" Pirelli "P slot Alloys" (the later ones had 14" P slots.
98 Saxo VTR Chav mobile??
93 Passat estate (hideous "filler" car) had an earlier Passat estate bombproof till the head gasket went
97 mk3 Gti 16v wrote one off a week after I bought it
2003 mk4 R32 Golf (bought two months old) nice
2005 Astra 1.9CDTi 150 estate (new) good vans had the bedford commercial version of the older style one of these.
2006 BMW 335d Touring (still have it) again good load haulers never understood why they did the 316 as a tourer cos the engine is ****e. and way too underpowered for a big estate car.
2005 Suzuki Jimny softtop (about to be p/xd for the Defender) getting rid is best thing you've ever done.
Soon to arrive if the dealer bucks up his ideas:
2007 110 Defender XS nice but too many electrics and really just a ford transit 4x4 with a 110 body on it.. :D

Red - cheers for the "assessment!!"

They don't do a 316 version of our shape (E91) - lamest engine you can get is the 318i (318d also a bit limp). 35d unit gives it 0-60 in 5.7s and 100 in 13.3 so it moves well enough. I love it!

Jimny has been okay - wife's car really. Reliable, easy to park, surprisingly capable off road. Funnily enough, I mentioned we were getting rid of it in the Suzuki section of Difflok (but in a positive "it's been a decentish car" way) and they gave Defenders a right slagging off!

TDCi engine is Transit sourced but that's it - the rest is LR. Innit. Otherwise you can call a Gallardo oe a Bentley an Audi, a McClaren F1 a BMW, etc, etc.

Hmmmm..... how can that be correct when there isn't a mention of a Defender 90 in your list?

Is you telling us porky-pies here? Amnesia?
Politicians' Memory Syndrome

Hi Natas,

There are some real dickheads on this site - I took your post in the nature it was intended: don't worry about the cocksuckers rating your motors: most of them wouldn't know a good car if it bit em in the ass: thaey wouldn't jack up their landies if they did!
