Intriguingly, according to the OED, "misspelt" is more commonly the British spelling of it and "misspelled" is the American English version, so it is "misspelt" for me from now on! Rule Britannia!:):):):):)

What you have failed to take account of is that often the American version of the language is more like our own as it used to be before it got contaminated. But it is your own choice what you want to use - that is the way our language has changed over the years. I wouldn't dream of influencing you, just replying to your question re. which I would use.
Sleep well.:)

Thanks for making me check, I never knew there was a difference or what the difference was...
Night night:)!

If the vehicle was ever designed to have the last row of seats fitted, which it was, and if they were fitted correctly, including seat belts and airbags if such need fitting too, and if a LR dealer can certify that there is no difference and everything has been properly done, then I don't see how an insurance company can cut up rough.
There's more to adding rear seats, than just the seats. Obviously the seat belts need to be fitted for each seat too. The curtain airbags need changing for 7 seat versions, or the rear seats won't be provided with curtain bags. From memory the headlining is also different, due to the longer curtain air bags. Longer curtain air bags could need a different SRS module, and I suspect the BCU will also need to know that the seats are fitted.
The only thing to do is to get the V5 to reflect the change in number of seats before going for a quote.
Getting the seating plan changed with the DVLA is a whole lot of work on a modern vehicle. The insurance will be more expensive, even if the conversion is done to LR specs. It's probably easier to simply buy a 7 seater, trading the 5 seater in for it.

Does sound like it! What a booboo to make before buying!

I would, my TD5 has a huge boot and two extremely handy lockers for putting tools etc in. My D1 has 7 seats, we no longer ever use the last two but have no side panniers to shove stuff in. To be honest, we only ever used the last two seats about 3 times. Thought we would use them more often, mistake.
So buy for what you KNOW you will use it for, imho.

My first D2 was a five seater with the handy bins in the back, but after it was written off I couldn't find another, they all seemed to be seven seaters. I've only used them a few times, otherwise they're just dead weight to lug around.
