Sounds like a ammeeturds to me!!!

Especially as the maximum vehicles that should be in any one group is 5, anyway. Sounds like me laddo's were hoping to take a lot more than that. Though in their advert on fleabay it did show a group of 12 vehicles all lined up from a previous outing they'd organised.

Only if you comply with GLASS recommendations.

Its an interesting quandary - if a BOAT is a public highway, then presumably there are no limits to numbers of vehicles - there arent on any other public highway.

before you flame me, I conform to GLASS - just posing the Q.

True but then aren't there also laws against charging a toll to drive on a public road as well as lots of rules covering motoring events on public roads which if people are paying to attend then it becomes an organised motoring event. Plus big groups just cause loads of bad feeling. As well as creating all sorts of problems when they meet another group coming the other way.

Me thinks they probably don't have public liability insurance either.

Idiots like this are thems that give the 4x4 driver a bad name. Whereas responsible 4x4 drivers like myself, daft, .......go on then....even pikey, drive in small groups and comply with glass recommendations. Pillocks like those just give ammunition to them, peoples that cannot afford a landrover so have to walk everywhere, as to why we are hell raising hooligans intent on bringing down the planet .

Just to let you all know the weekend was great, the weather stayed good for the full 2 days. The off road parts on saturday where mainly rock sections but on sunday thats where the fun begins, the axel twisters nearly had a 110 station wagon on its side when it went to far up the bank but was nicely saved by the driver. The rest of the day was really a play day, oh yes nearly forgot to mention the 2 river crossings included in the trip. If anybody is interested in going the guide said he would run another trip if there was enough interest. His e-mail is spammingbastid.com.

this is a good trip if you can spare a couple of days.

How many vehicles turned up for the weekend?

4 in total which was great due to the number of gates that had to be opened and closed off. The guide said 10 had cancelled from a club due to them being doubled booked that weekend somewhere else(who knows). On saturday though it was hard driving all day we set off at 08.45 and stopped at bala for lunch 45mins then back out until we arrived at aberdovy at 17.00. It did take it out of me as i was ready for bed come 21.30(lightwieght i know).

The whole 2 days was really worth doing.
