4 catalytic converters stolen in Wandsworth this week...

I have just reported my cat being stolen to the police and was amazed to find that mine was the 4th during the last week....
who is stealing them and more importantly, who is buying them?
The dastards used an angle grinder to cut through the pipe and clear off with the cat. Beware, this happened on a fairly busy street...
As you are aware, these are not cheap to replace.

The moral of this story is to remove the thing, put it in a safe place, and replace it with a bit of plain pipe with suitable flanges.

You could fit it for MoTs if you felt the need.

Roll on global warming! Saves on heating bills.

They have a brass neck on them to angle grind through metal on a busy street

As mentioned by CharlesY, a decat pipe from the likes of Mike Satur MG for £35 would get you up and running until you get a CAT installed
