Freelander 2 (LR2) 4 amigos after new rear diff

I just replaced the rear diff and both rear struts on my 2008 LR2.

had struts right off the car along with both rear shafts.

While I had it apart I resealed the Haldex unit but could not get teh electric pump out of the housing.
I tried to tap it out and even used a very small amount of heat with a propane torch but it still wouldn't come out.

I went to start the vehicle and pressed brake pedal almost went to floor as I had calipers off. The 4 amigos came on.

Any ideas on what may have happened?

From what I read could be brake light switch or I could have damaged the electorc motor on the haldex.

Fix one problem created another- ARRRRG.........oh yeah....

I bought a INNOVA code reader does ODB2, ABS, SRS and found both rear abs sensor fault. I took them apart and found dirt and rust in the connections probably because it sat apart for 3 weeks outside and it rained many times while I was waiting for the rebuilt diff to come from England. I cleaned the connections sanded the pins and plugged back in. Cleared codes and ALL lights are off.
 
Well done in finding and fixing the problem and reporting back.

You can probably tell from the threads on here that most get good answers and occasionally some don't. Have to say its usually the F2 threads that get less response as most active people have F1s. Needs a few more people with F2s to stick around and help each other out

I'll not be getting a FL2 any time as I feel the faults are far to complex to sort. With the FL1, almost all faults are documented, but that's not the same for the FL2.
I had a D3 for a couple of years. While I loved the vehicle, I was constantly worrying that the next fault it had was going to be a nightmare, hence I went back to a FL1.

Its all about the "package" I suppose. The F2 is undoubtedly a "better" car than the F1, but you have to balance that with the risk. I'm happy with me F1 for now to.
 
Int 50 years time yer be looking back wondering what yer was worried about.
 
Might have something to do with the four amigos I have no clue what you are talking about, could hazard a guess but wouldn't want to give a bum steer or look stupid.
