I missed the option I think, had a look online and it didn't appear to be there for long according to the feedback forum, sent photobucket support a message asking to change me back because the new one is "crap"

Mobile works nicely but still don't like that you cant select a page to go to or select multiple photos, generate a link for all in one go then copy the single link over!

well the LZ one still dont fookin work , you did remind me I had a FB account so here are the pics of it back from the machine shop- bored and hones to .20 and cam bearings in and a lot cleaner which is good cos I didnt pay for that lol.

new pistons pressed on too.

There are some marks around the ends of the block, I am guessing from his tools but odd!

Oo shiney parts! Correct me if I am wrong, but thoes con rods look like they have been balanced... jammy sod
Got me thinking about doing my ones now.. but would it be worth it?

lol, I hope they have, its really odd because I know that motors been apart before because all the parts are engraved however when I stripped it none of the parts were int he place you would think they should be according to the engravings so I expect its been apart at least twice and was perhaps balanced on the last time. I took ote of where they all went so it should go back how it was and apparently it did at least 30k with the last owner in the order it was when I got it.

I just have to wait until the end of may for main bearings now, but that does give me time to collect the rest of the parts.

I am thinking DYNAGEAR for the came and billet roller timing set, just trying to get in touch with them- Aussies seem to take ages to reply!

Yep, looks sexual that pal, you have finally reached the reassembly stage!

How has it been so far, ie is it worth sourcing a p76 or overalls would a 4.4 stroker 3.5 be a better option do you think?

Just asking regards getting hold of parts etc has it turned out harder than expected?

Cheers :)

the only thing that was harder than getting good bits for a 3.5 was the mains because I wanted them at .10 but people only had std or .20, now I have hassled them so much they put the .10 back in to production then you would be laughing.

with the price of that stroker kit and the fact that you would have to buy/have machined most of the bits I have done anyway for any full re-build I would say you are better off with the aussie 4.4 as its cheaper and has such ridiculous torque even as standard which is ideal for landys :D

the things I still need to buy are the bits I would have buy for a 3.5 too, like a better spec cam- maybe??? and also the expensive timing chain deal which I want as ****ed off with the others stretching.

if I could be arsed to spend more time and cash re-building heads and could get the quality bits in the uk the 3.5 efi heads I have are actually way better for breathing than the 4.4 heads which are only about as good as early 3.5 heads but getting decent rocker arms and shafts in this country seems hard and honestly that 3.5 efi has been running on tar for the last 10 years by the look of it so all that rocker gear would be fooked.

I suppose I also have to think of my 1972 driveline, will it handle 285 ftlbs anyway lol, let alone more :p
