i sometimes wonder if the Jaguar F pace is very much like the sport , seen a lot of D4 owners go over to them, alas adore the shape and size of the larger FFRR and D4s , prefer the higher seating position

something i can’t stand in later models are those rotary gear selectors , Yuck , instead of the proper gear levers
I have a couple of acquaintances with the f-pace , as well as having looked very closely when they first came out. However they are classed as, and in deed are, a compact SUV. At 6 ' tall and with rugby player/swimmer's shoulders I am always very aware of interior space, more so as a driver with a steering wheel in the way. Whilst most vehs these days have everything adjustable, sometimes it's still not enough. Hence the reason, for most of my driving life, i have chosen cars with lots of room inside. Best one ever was my 7 series Volvo.
I digress, back to the f-pace it is a lovely car, nice to drive for a short period of time (only due to comfort/height issues) but it is lower, shorter, narrower and looks a tad more like a Ford inside than Range Rover. However, those I know who have it, who are dyed in the wool Jaguar owners, think it's the bees knees. :)

P.s ref the D4 owners, chap at Park's said a lot are going for the Velar but the Full Fat drivers are finding it too small inside and staying with FF when they trade.

apart from the FFRR / D4 there isn’t anything equally size wise within land rovers newer models , won’t even hold my breath concerning the new defender :rolleyes:

Hi Shorty ;) Considering the old Defender was a nightmare driving position, I can only imagine the new one won't be much better.:(

I remember when the only interior dimensions that were important were if the latest squeeze would leave heel marks in the headlining.:oops::D
