Are you asking about the Range Rover Sport? If so then it's best to avoid the V6 diesel altogether and go for the V8 diesel instead. The V6 has some serious reliability issues, which could well mean it needs a new engine.

Make sure the service history is complete, with all receipts for any work, not just stamps in the book, as stamps in the book are worthless.

Be aware about the cost of owning a Range Rover, or any 2005 onwards LR, as parts are expensive, and required often. For example, you could be looking at over £200 for front brake pads, and it'll need those every 20K miles or so.

Budget on £1000 per year for normal maintenance, and treble that if you actually need to have any more serious work done.
