Hey all :)

I've decided to sell one of my Nissan Patrol GQ's (because it's not a Rover). ;)

Given that I recently bought a brand-new set of Goodyear Wrangler MTR's for it in 33x12.5/15 size, I'd rather not give them away with the car as they don't add to the value anyway. (I just removed my Warn 8274 Hi-Mount as well).

Are these 33's at all useful on a Defender? Is anyone using 33's on one without having changed the suspension or offset too much? I swore to myself that I'd try & leave my 110 in relatively stock form for reliability's sake, and I'm pretty loathed to do anything non-Rover if I can avoid it. I'd also have to change to 15" rims - is this possible without fouling the calipers?

Any advice (other than "sell them to me for nothing and I'll take them away for free)????

Cheers
Chris

If they will go on - and that is to say that I am not totaly sure what you would need to do, I know I have some super wide muddys on my 90 but I bought the car from my friend like that and hence don't know, if indeed any, alterations were needed.

Pretty much, if you can put them on without any trouble, then I would safely say that your not going to cause any harm by going non stock - tyre wise anyway, lets face it, 95% of Defenders are unique after 4 years.

I don't know what tools you have available to you, but you could always put one onto the spare, bolt it onto a front look at clearences, remember to go full lockboth ways. Hopefully someone who knows tyre sizes will now come and tell you if you can or not without having to try.

No problem, done them to many a land rover. Should not catch wheel arches, but depends on which rims you use, this also determines the amount on loss off turning circle. If you fit those tyres you will be amazed at what ur landy will be capable of. They really are excellent tyres.

you might have a lil problem with the eyebrows on the arches as well as the lock to lock turn. you need to check. jack up the vehicle and turn full lock and see if there's any rubbing.

other than that, it's an amazing set of tyres. ok, but the simex centipedes are better in deep soft mud.
