Hi all
My 300 tdi is approaching 20 years old, but has only covered a mere 100k miles, still I appreciate the truck and want to keep on top of servicing and reliability as a result.
I plan on keeping the 90 long term and would like to get the turbo rebuilt professionally, whilst possibly getting a slightly bigger compressor turbine fitted (aka converting to a hybrid).
Does the 300tdi have a sweetspot in terms of what turbo would be a good trade off against increased size, lag and gains? Are there preferred choices for companies to use? I am in south wales if that helps. I would love to go for a vnt but cannot justify the 2k expense at the moment with an impending house move, so something 1/4 off the cost is far more acceptible
