Starter has started needing coaxed into life, after the glows I give it a few quick turns to position III, I hear the solenoid banging a few times then it will usually go.
So question, do I take it off and try to replace the contacts or by the time they get to this stage is the motor worn etc?
I dont want to drop it, replace the contacts/solenoid etc for it to fail by another part in the near future, I guess you get warning when its the motor failing, and the bearings probably arent a common failure point since the motor wont actually do many revolutions in its life.
I want a Bosch ERR5009G Paddocks have it for about £174 inc. VAT I would also settle for a Valeo unless anyone has anything bad to say about them but I cant even find them anymore.
There seems to be a total lack of OE starters on the market.
Anyone seen any outlets for them? Or would I be as well to rebuild mine?
