You can be in low range without the diff lock being engaged.

Think I did read or was told somewhere that normal driving was right then up / forward, but will try back . Hope its something as simple as that

Couldn't resist it, just flew up my yard to try again. It was in right forward position first pic changed to right back in you pic Neilly and it shot out the bloody garage like a bat out of hell
Just looked back to see who suggested it was this. Flossie I think i love you
Drove round the streets again and on to the main road for the first time, was normal, forgot to take Vid but will give it a decent run tomorrow, fingers crossed it will be OK, also forgot to look for smoke but dont think there was any.

Yes Googled it and Someone wrote that you'll now that you are in Low as you wont get above 30 even in 5th gear. Then I thought thats got to be it.

If only LR had thought to emboss a diagram on the top of the gear knob, to show where High and Low range could be found.
