Looking for help.
96 Disco 300tdi motor. I have replaced the following:
Pistons, rings, head, valves, springs, turbo, lift pump, injector pump, injectors, intercooler, glowplugs.
New timing belt installed with new idler, tensioner, crank pulley, cam seal, crank seals.
Compression test produced 340psi on #4, 390psi on #1-#3 cylinders, tested at glow plug site.
Fuel system bled correctly.
Timing pins installed and cam gear mark aligned correctly.
Fuel stop solenoid functioning correctly.
NO START!
I suspect that some of my new Bosch injectors (from Turner Engineering)may have arrived stuck or my rebuilt injector pump is not producing enough psi, so I sent the injectors to be tested at a diesel shop.
Extensive knowledge of the 300tdi is limited in the USA, so I am begging for all the help I can get.
I have fuel at the top of the injectors.
No blockages in air flow.
Motor cranks and cranks and will not catch. Valve tappets adjusted correctly per shop manual.
