300tdi rear bumper

Hi, I guess a few people on here have non standard rear bumpers on their disco's. Just wondered if you had any problems wit the indicators flashing 10 to the dozen when you removed the bumper bulbs. Mine flash like a barstool but a guy at work says his are fine..... any ideas?
