Just like to say a big thanks to everyone who helped me. Fitted a new delphi lift pump today, and im very pleased. Top end power is now far better, it will happily cruise at 70. It also is quite happy in a slightly higher gear than previously.

Thats the one i got fellas. Took a few days to arrive. I couldnt beleive the amount of diesel now present at the fuel filter bleed screw. I opened it too far and got soaked, sprayed everywhere. Compared to nothing on the last one. My defender is now not so slow, it even picks up quicker when its cold somehow.

Its one of those landy things.
Electrical Fault: Earths
Sluggish/lacking power: Filters, Liftpump.

Liftpump can be one of thoise things you dont notice for a long time as they can degrade slowly, so you just get used to it, untill you need to pull somthing, or you drive somone elses.
