Last time i checked engine has to come out to change the clutch this way because of the shaft and area of the box hitting the bulkhead..

Anyone remember doing this ?

I Jack the engine up at the front & pull the box out, I used a crane through the passenger door with the tunnel removed.
The last one was really tight so I pulled the engine mounts off & lowered the engine, that gave me enough clearance
to drop the box out. If you have the tools & know what your doing you can have a 300tdi engine out in a hour.
Sometimes quicker as prop bolts can be a right pita as are the downpipe bolts. Heat may be required.
