Hey all. I've got a comedy malfunction and hoped I could pluck some of your collective wisdom!
95 300TDi Disco 1, 5 door manual. Standard in everyway. My alarm keeps going off intermittently. It can go off if the car is locked or unlocked, if the ignition is on, and also as I'm driving along in it, which got some dodgy looks from passers by!!
The Central locking has been playing up too, whereby the unlock does not seem to function very well. I'm assuming that I just need a new key fob for the locking issue as the unlock works fine. Today, however, all of the central locking has stopped working even if I use the key in the door, rather than the remote. I've tried a new battery in the fob already.
So.... Questions -
-Any ideas on what would cause the alarm to go off at random times (Does not immobilise the car when it does this!)
-If you leave the car for a while unlocked without the ignition on, the Immobiliser comes on as it should and I can still switch it off with the key fob (Eventually!!)
-Central locking probably just a fuse, which I will change now, but if that does not sort any ideas?
