300 Series KeyFob not working..Help

My Keyfob single button type does seem to work, the Light comes on the Fob when the button is pressed but nothing happens on my Disco. Can anyone tell me where the reciever box and fuse is on my Disco and what could be the problem..???

try a new battery first, even if it lights up, doesn't mean it's transmitting.

if new batteries dont work it's most likely the remote that's given up. i bought a "new" one recently on eblag and it was dead out of the box. LR havent made them for about six years apparantly so even a new one is already old enough to be an oap! wish i'd known that first. for replacements that work try this lot - Remote Key Fob Replacement

Funny thing is they are still available from LR,bought one for a customer just before Christmas.

Given that the battery problem has been resolved, you will have to re-sync the remote with the receiver in the alarm module.

Keep pressing the lock button on the remote until you get a response from the alarm.

Its a rolling code so every time you press the button it generates a different code, if the receiver doesn't keep up, see above.

You shouldn't stand at the end of the bar with your hands in your pockets, playing, anyway !!!!!
