Seen a 3 door rangie 1973. never seen one before and what a awsum looking machine shame it's rotten and probably destined for a scrap yard anyone ever fully restored one of these from the ground up before ?? If so how much are the bits reasonable or silly priced ?

The 2 door range rover is becoming the best land rover investment product, if anyone can get one and dry store it there will be a good payday in the future.

I've got a 1973 2 door 3.5 v8. SU carbs. No rust. original interior in OK condition. Paintwork let's it down a bit but everything else is sound......What's it worth in today's market?......

Thanks.

Fully restored 2 doors are currently worth between £5k and £15K - fully restored meaning as per new condition (plenty of sheds still kicking around).

Parts are sating to get more difficult especially for early ones with visual seats and bonnets mounted wing mirrors. 2 door new doors come up for time to time but can cost as much as the car itself.....they are well and truly starting to get into proper classic car prices now. Last week I saw a mint 4 door Overfinch Classic - only built n very limited numbers - dealer wanted £27995.....

Six years ago I sold what I though was a rough 2 door (but not as rough as many I've seen on ebay) - definitely regretting it now.....

Have to agree with you there darrenaroberts although, some of the two doors on car and classic are up for £27k plus  The parts are also through the roof. I seen a pair of genuine bonnet mirrors on the bay last week with the bidding at £352 and there was 6 days left in the auction........

If you just want a 2-door to use they can be resurrected quite reasonably with a bit of ingenuity and a lot of welding (a mate of mine has done two now) it's when you're after 100% originality/perfection it gets expensive.
