Hi Guys,

Im just about to commence on a project to Hybridise my Lightweight with my 95' 3.9 Disco,

Im in the process of stripping everything from the Disco, and having spent the last few days looking round the serch section of the forum, Ive come to the conclusion, its probably gunna be a bit easier than I originaly thought, my 1st thought was to transfer most of the loom from the Disco, but it seems thats not necessary,
I believe I need to locate a plug that will feed the ecu, and pump, when I have this I can for the most part ditch the rest of the loom from inside the cabin, is this correct??

Ive located this plug and Im pretty sure its the plug I need, BUT which side do I use, and I believe the brown wire is Battery +, white Ign +, and white and Purple is pump,
what other wires do I need to use, and ive traced the pump wire in the loom, if I take it from this plug where do I get the feed from, is it direct from the relay?

Any help appreciated,

Many thanks
Steve

Steve, I don't know the answer to your question I'm afraid.

I'm curious what your plan is though and how you are going to hybridise a Discovery with a lightweight? Are you going to retain the Disco chassis, shorten it and put the lightweight body on?

Do a search!!! - try searches for V8 into 90 or EFI loom.

There are a number of threads that deal with putting a V8 in a 90 and the common problems. You'll have to do the leg work first. It shouldn't be too hard as long as you have got all the right bits and understand how your injection system works. Good luck.

Yeh thats the plan,
I'll just see how it goes.....
I see a nice series 1 replica in LRO this month on a Disco chassis but with 20" cut out of the middle, but does look nice.

how did you get on with it project ? did you sort the wiring out ? i only ask as i'm putting a 3.9 efi out of a RR in to a series 2 / 3 ish

How are you tackling this ? Series box and coversion bits or are you building a ringer on a rrc chassis?

If the former, you will destroy the series box at some point and the efi is not simple. Use a 3.5 on carbs and hope its only pushing out 120hp

hi all series stuff for now( lt77 and rr axle's to come later ) engine rr i like to keep the efi if i can cos i've got them , but if not the carbs will be plan C OR D ..
