Series 3 3/4 or full length stick set?

Work is happy to pay for me to drive my s3 down to Mallorca via ferries. So i think she may go soft top for the sunshine drives.

Ive seen a hoop set for a 3/4 lwb going relatively cheap, i understan these are designed for the pick up/truck cab body style but can they be utilised as well for full length? Im picturing driving with door tops out and sides rolled up through the mallorcan mountains :D

Tell me about it :D I'm an engineer on a superyacht and I work 3 months on 3 months off. My next work period falls on when the boat is in Palma for a refit for a few months. They pay for my travel and the captain likes mountain biking so I said hey, let me drive my landy down, the boat can use it in work time, I would enjoy driving it down and then I can drive you up the hills for mountain biking and he loved the idea!
 
Decided to order the tonneau cover and truck cab cover, ready for the summer and Spain! 3 months to bring the series up to standard for the trip!
