cheers, ive seen this site before, there are plenty of different reviews good and bad, there are two wildpeak tyres listed? I dont understand. unless there are two different compounds?

Fit some airlockers and maybe a limited slip diff then normal AT tyres!
 
grrrrrr, I'm not going all rock bashing on her ass!!!!
just wanted something a little better than road tyres. just thought 50/50's would be a small inexpensive way to gain a bit more other than selling a child or organ!:p
 
Had our at 2s fitted about 4 year ago done 25000+ miles on them. They have been great during the summer and when it has thrown the white slippy stuff down they have never once let us down. And as for the wear there is still 7 to 8mm tread left. They also have a side beading that overhangs the rim which protects your alloys. So AT2S for me everytime.
P.s. I am in no way affiliated with general tyres just like them:):)

that's the sort of thing im after. A long time on the car and plenty of confidence in them.

there are a few tyre choices around and I wanted to hear what you all think after owning them on your buses to get as much insight as possible. Plenty of reviews the better..
 
ok then, ive come to two tyre choices,
before said,
general at2, absolute robbery here in France. Remember I need 4 tyres!
bf goodrich, cannot find 255/65/16's!! (cant fit any other size) french m.o.t. Requirements.
so... Toyo open country at.
or..
yokohama geolandar g015.
not as expensive but durable from the reviews ive read.
anybody used any of these two makes??
 
My at's weren't cheap £600 balanced and fitted. Got my money's worth though as the old tyres looked like they had been rubber welded on ( kwik fix repair petrol around rim and set it alight to get the bead to pop back on) took the fitter ages to get the beads to pop off so he could remove the old tyres he even had to turn the pressure up on his tyre machine :D:D

MrGorsky just had 4 fitted and balanced for about £110 a corner, IIRC.

How much to ship to France? They are heavy and bulky, I guess. Not tried either of those brands. Are Pirelli cheaper out there? Apparently if you get last year's tread pattern they are way cheaper? One of the Wills on here knows all about tyres, @wil2813 ?
 
I've used toyo and yokohamas before but not on the range rover.
I found the toyos were very good grip but the yokos lasted longer.
Both fully acceptable though. This was on the merc which is a pretty torquey bit of kit.
Unless you are pushing them seriously to their limits they're good tyres.
No idea how good they'd be on the rangy though but I'd buy them if they were the right price.
 
just got a good price for general grabber at3's, fitted, balanced and tracking for 640€! internet offer price.
anyone running these tyres?

126€ a tyre, so it's about right, especially with euromaster!!. The average 4 wheel tracking price is usually around 90€ which opens debate why four and not just two! Diesel is at 1.19€ a litre at the moment.
 
+1 for General Grabbers AT 2's. Good grip in both the wet and dry. Seem to be getting very good mileage out of them and they are fairly good in the snow. What swung it for me was on a trip to Morocco three years back , two vehicles had the AT 2' and they stood up to the rough treatment very well. Better than one guy's BFG AT which were shredding.
I went for the 235 x 85 x 16 for the extra ground clearance. Quiet surprising what just those few mm make.
