The back of the lift isn't so elegant. Couldn't wait until Monday and use a band saw so went at it with a hacksaw...and pliers

I think you can buy number plate mounts that clip into the winch rollers

Somebody used open type pipe clips to make a clip on number plate on their discrete winch ( on a freelancer I think)

Yep, that was the thought I had in my head already. Got one in the back holding my maglight
I'm going to make a backing for the plate so it's a bit more rigid too. I was thinking about making it a bit more secure somehow too (but still easy enough to remove when winch needed)

The winch is looking messy now.
Think I'll strip it down and spray all the plastics up. Might even spray the fairlead rollers with the black plasticoat I did my alloys with (I don't use it that much)
