235/65/17 Tyres.

As the OP states the particular tyre he has features a 190 tread width as opposed to the 235 section width.

It very much depends on the design of the tread edge and the knobbly lug bits as to how clearance there is.

My actual treadwidth is 210 on a 235/55 17Conti4X4Contact so I'm pretty sure that Conti 235/65 17 wouldn't have any clearance at all, without spacers.

I need 10mm spacers to the front and 7mm spacers on the rear when I fit my 9mm chains.

So you need to choose carefully.

Interesting pics.

Indeed my fellow friend.

This is why I take what people say lightly on forums as there are so many different variables. What may be the case for one person may not be so for another. If I was wanting a combination that would fit I would just choose a standard tyre size.

I will make the wheel tyre combination fit because I want to.

Vehicle will still be lifted in due course.

I shall post better pics next week when spacers come.

Thanks

Mike

I've got 205/80/16 on mine, they were fitted at standard height with no spacers and only rubbed slightly on full lock. Now have 30mm spacers and 2" lift kit, no rubbing at all. Mine measure 175mm from shoulder to shoulder. :)

Good thread. I've no interest in lifting mine (re lifting it) but would be intrigued to see if these particular tyres work just with spacers. Look forward to progress report!

No - I hadn't forgotten them. ;)

I like the look of them - and the tread pattern width seems to be OK too.

Not many reports on how they perform yet though.

I'm in the market for a set of them for next winter.

Reminded me that I bought a set of tyres for my lads Corsa at start of new year from Camskill - good price, fast delivery, so feedback from me, all good!
