Having had a look at the weekend it seems my front propshaft needs work. I know you can replace the UJ’s but I’m thinking about just replacing the shaft as a whole. I don’t know what condition the splines are in but there’s plenty of movement in the rear joint. For the sake of about £65 and 8 bolts does it make sense to replace it all in a new to me 90, and if so is there a preferred one to get? No lift and on road driving (so far ☹).
 
Elcheapo ones here as well no issues at all just grease the thing a couple of times per year

I think I might be going down the same route as mikescuba and lynall soon. However, you might want to have a look at these videos before you make your mind up.

I like his videos, always clear and informative. I like that he uses Aldi digital calipers too, I don't feel so amateurish now!
 
A UJ failed in my b#-that cheapo driveshaft after less than 10k miles. It was poorly made, with the bottom of the cup just pressed in. The GKN ujs are much better quality.

Lying under the Landy I can't see any movement in the splines. Might be different when I get the props off though! If the splines are still good I might go for four GKN UJ's. Keeping my fingers crossed splines are nice and tight :)
 
If you go for a cheaply don't bin your genuine one, rebuild it a time your leisure with GKN bearings - it isnt hard, then when the cheap fails you can just swap to a good one.

I just renewed all my UJ's as 3 were quite tired and it wasn't much more to just change the 4th

That's a good idea, it's my daily drive so can't have her off the road for too long. It would be good to get one rebuilt with no time pressure as a newbie spanner monkey.
