Ive been reading up on the subject of running diesel cars on veg oil but i cant find any straight answers. All i would like to know is if i can run my L reg 200tdi disco on veg oil without any serious problems? I understand it is better to mix it with diesel in the winter to help with cold starting issues, is this the case & if so what is the ratio of oil to diesel?

Many Thanks folks.

Well you haven't looked very hard have you now? But to save you any further distress & uncertainty.

Yes
Yes
70% Veg oil in summer 50% in winter is my personal preference and never had any problems at all. (some people run 100% without problems.)

If you do a search, there's undreds of pages of info on here.

The short answer is Yes - I run my 200TDi on 1/3 veg in winter, 1/2 in spring & autumn and 2/3 in summer. Just tip it in the tank.
Change yer fuel filter after the first 500 miles cos the veg cleans all the crap out of yer tank.
