Heads on the bolts are a little bit rounded off, any reason I can't use cap head bolts?
Local nut & bolt place don't do M8 flange bolts with a 10mm head.
 
So long as it spins without conflict, I can't see an issue.

We are talking the ones that hold the locking / adjustment plate on the front, right?

Iirc on the 300 the edge of the flange runs very close to the edge of the hole in the timing case cover.

Yes those are the ones. I have located some bolts now but with postage it makes for expensive bolts. Oh well.
