200tdi engine

Hi
200tdi engine now out of disco donor and about to go into my 90 well in a few weeks, while the engine is on the bench what can i change on it for example i will replace the timing belt, but what other seals, gaskets etc could i change now before i put it into the 90????? i am also going to replace the clutch while its on the bench which is the best to fit

PS i still can not find nor down load a 200tdi engine over haul manual does any one where i can find such a thing? does such a thing exist??? tried loads of searches but can only find manual for 300tdi engine over haul

Get the rave cd from green oval. as to things todo to your engine. The clutch arm wears through where the pushrod presses against it and a common fix is to weld a reinforcing strip across the back of the arm to prevent this from happening.

ave you got the workshop manual supplement Becks ? - that's got some good stuff about the Tdi - not quite a total strip down and rebuild howto but usefull

dunno what else is worth doing, assuming it was well looked after and running ok before you took it out - suppose the belt tensioner fer a bit more peace of mind - starter maybe cos that's a arse to get out if it's a disco 200 into a 90 - how far do ya wanna go

Why not try this? don't be put of by the foriegn language site, tha manuals are in English.

I even printed the bloody things!!!!

There used to be cos ah got a copy from this site

wonder if they've taken it off or it doesn't show again once ye've doonloaded it

erm, yeah, the very bottom of page, '95 '96 Discovery covers the Tdi engine

Ah'm talkin' ****e, wus the 90/110 upto 1990

but do have a pdf file from somewheres for the 200tdi wirin' in the same folder

many thanks, i know you are all trying to help, however none of them bloody sites has a 200tdi engine overhaul manual, i have down loaded loads and still cant find this manual

is it as rare as hobby horse s***e
