The central locking on a 200 series doesn't have a relay, the slaves are controlled by the master actuator in the drivers door. If u can hear a relay then thats something else, it's not the C/L.

Mine's a 93, and has a control box/ecu for the alarm which is conected to the c/l.
It must have some sort of relay in it as when I forced a frozen lock, the alarm went off and the box was making a noise.
Had to pull the plug and bypass it, but the c/l stopped working .

Thats correct on a 200 the alarm and remote central locking (ecu) are housed in one box.
Pulling the plug will remove the remote c/l function but leaving the manual option, unlike the later 300's which have two seperate ecu's and will aways require a fob..
