Hi there my names Frank. I had lost my key and didnt want to spend all that money to buy a new one.So my brother has the same exact one as I have. His was totaled in an accident. So what I did was to pull the computers off of his and swapped them out of mine.I even changed out the key cylinder. My RR ran fine no problems but now everything turns on fine cranks over but wont turn on. My dash does not say anything is wrong everything looks exactly like it did before. I was told by doing this it would work but to my surprise it did not. Is there anyone out there that can guide me in the right direction?Any help would be greatly appriciated .

I think you’ll find there are over 15 various control modules on the car and there all coded to the particular vehicle so that maybe your problem.
I know that even the fuse box is coded and cannot be overwritten to use on another vehicle

Might be simpler to just refit the originals & get a new key.
Assuming the mixing of the various items hasn't confused it beyond recovery!

Indeed agree with u guys , think also the system will lock out as a safety feature to stop people who steal them to swap ecus over

Agree ref getting another key seeing it’s only the door and ign lock , but not 100% sure if all the ecus are put back if it will work

Heard a few ways to do it but won’t advertise it on an open forum

@cosalteco you might want to edit your post above and remove your email as you may end up with more spam than you can handle.

You need to swap IPK as well as that contains the VIN of the donor car and that needs to match the ecm and bcm

Best option is to surely refit the original components and order a replacement key from a Land Rover retailer
