I'm looking for the radio code myself for 04 plate td4sport, landrover want £25 for it ,, I've been told a few places it could be , I'll look tomorrow and let you know if I have any luck..

I took mine to a main dealer, the service desk bloke went and got one of his guys from the shop floor. They both came out, took the radio out, photoed the serial number and took my mobile number. Two days later I got a phone call with the PIN number, free of charge. Bloody good service!

hi everyone, I'm new to the forum-just joined today! I'm looking for a radio code for my freelander 06 TD4 HSE. Its the sat nav type. The relevant information on the side of the radio is as follows - Type; traffic pro
Model No; BE4765
Serial No; 450 18213
Barcode; 4765cf045018213.
XQD000230pma
Sticker on side of radio says exchange part, so the code for the reg no of vehicle won't work.
Any help very gratefully received,
thanks stoney

I took my V5 (2005 HSE with sat-nav unit) to my local LR dealer and the girl on the service desk simply went onto her system and gave it to me......

I have a freelander 1 with the sat nav radio option. It also requires a 5 numbered code and was provided with a 4 numbered code. I tried the code with 1 proceeding and then ending the 4 number code I was give. Then I tried 2 the same and on 3 it worked! I now have my radio working again 😊

Went through this thread a dozen times before I sorted the problem. Solution is for a facelift Freelander 1 with the satnav radio - skip to the last paragraph if you're in a hurry.

Changed the battery then realised I did not have the radio code. Straight to LandyZone and read this and other threads. Tried various options above, then found 6222 handwritten in the service book, so tried 62221 - no joy! Then tried all the combinations 6222n and n6222 (where n=1-7), still no joy - and it took ages because the radio goes into 'thief' mode after three tries. Meanwhile, I had asked my mate, who used to sell LRs, to use his contacts to get the code from the VIN. Eventually, he came back with the number....62221 - aaaarrrggghhh.

Last resort - I pulled out the radio, read the serial number and entered the last 5 digits. BINGO!

P.S. You don't need to dismantle the fascia to pull the radio (again, this is the satnav radio in the facelift Freelander 1 (mine is a 2005 TD4 HSE)). There are a pair of slots, either side and low on the front of the radio. 20 - 30 mm inside there are clips that have to be pushed inwards to release them. Ideally you want a pair of specialist tools but you can be creative - I used the nailfiles on large nail clippers. You don't even need a pair of tools - if you release one side, you can pull the unit out to the side so that the clip doesn't reengage, then release the other side.

P.P.S. Thanks to LandyZone for helping solve the problem and I hope this post helps someone else.

Currently banging my head against the wall trying to sort this!

Land Rover quoted 2326, tried 12326, 23261, last 5 of serial, currently on second lockout :(

Hi, Im in the same position :( Just bought an 03 Freelander Serengeti today and the radio needs a code.. Read through all these posts and have tried everything but still not working :( its a 4 digit too not 5!!
Good luck getting sorted :)

Can anyone help me. I've had a new battery on my 04 Freelander and I cannot find the radio code for it. I've phone my local LR dealership and they want £19.99 just to get me the code. I've tried to follow this thread and have blocked the radio a couple of times now so I was wondering if anyone knew what the code is
Barcode - 4765AL045016691
Type - traffic pro
Serial no - 45016691
Model - BE 4765
Many thanks

Hi did anyone here manage to actually get their code? Last numbers trick definitely doesn't work for me and dealership have quoted £20 like alison says above. Is there a cheaper solution that anyone can vouch for?
